A great way to build out your portfolio and get work history is to build sites and applications for real organizations, businesses, and people. Here are some ways to get some ideas started.

  1. Reach out to nonprofit organizations, ones that you are interested in. Offer to build or update their websites. Pick projects that you are passionate about because they will show in your work and as you talk about your work.
  2. Reach out to family and friends that own businesses and ask if you can build/update their websites to add to your work history and portfolio.
  3. Contact local businesses, ofter to help update their site or build one.
